The Halloween Masquerade Ball is one of the area’s favorite events hosted by the Jaycees. Tickets for the year’s Masquerade Ball are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. The ticket price includes: beer, wine, limited set-ups, door prizes, a costume contest, and DJ dance party. The Gateway Hotel will also offer a ticket package that includes two tickets to the party, one room for the evening, and shuttle service to and from the party for only $135.00 including taxes. The first band kicks off at Noon and music will continue outside until 11 p.m. Some of the best local and regional artists in the area will be preforming. This year's lineup includes KING BISCUIT TRIO, BRAD BENSON, CHROME, THE NEWZ, DROP D and A COURSE OF ACTION!!! Tickets are available in advance for $10 and are $15 the day of the show. It is estimated that there are over 3,000 haunted attractions in US every October. The Unifour area has never been home to a professional quality haunted attraction, until now. Horror Fields will be the only professional haunt in the Unifour area. It will provide a family friendly environment; yet will also be enjoyed by teens and adults. The attraction is run by a group with over 20 years experience in the haunt industry. These men have taught classes at the national haunted attraction tradeshow Hauntcon. They bring a unique take to the haunt industry. It is projected that this attraction will bring in over 7,000 guests to the town of Sawmills, giving much needed revenue to local restaurants and businesses. Guests will travel from all over the southeast, mostly from North Carolina. This attraction will be open every Friday and Saturday in October. It is located at 4270 Helena St in Sawmills, NC.
